The world's premier Latin American art fair hit's Miami March 3-6 2006. The fair already has made prominent sales and attracted 5,000 visitors to it's VIP preview.

Research Local Art Galleries/Museums

This is going to be an intuitive approach and a rather unique thing I will do in order to learn more about Miami's local art scene. I basically took a screen picture of a google map after querying "Galleries Miami, Fl".



The following is a list of questions I will be asking myself to further learn about these galleries/museums.

1. What kind of art do they showcase?
2. Do they exhibit local artist or internatinoal only?
3. Do they have a permenant collection, or are they currently seeking entries?
4. Are they displaying consecutive exhibitions, or dawning to competition?
Note: Galleries that are "dawning" can be a good way to approach/network within the business. I have to keep a steady eye on them.

There is a lot to learn and I am starting immediately.
